Selenite

I am not a crystal queen. But in order to educate me a bit more, I thought I would write about them. So, it made sense to start with the one that I am never without.

I have a piece in my car and four pieces in the corners of my basement anchoring my home. I also have Selenite in each corner of my office, where I see my clients. And, if you have seen me at a show, you might have seen my selenite towers in the corners of my booth set up.

I really never leave home without them.

The Ancient Greeks named the translucent crystal Selenite, which means “moon” in Greek. Selenite is a favourite for many crystal healers and lovers, commonly found in the deep caves of Mexico, Morocco and Madagascar.

Selenite is my crystal for cleansing and clearing the home or office space. It dispels negative energy and enhances clarity, focus and creates calm in any space. So maybe everyone should have a piece on their desk.

Someone asked me recently if I made New Years resolutions? I said no. I set goals instead.

The purple stone as my kids used to say. This is traditionally the birthstone for the month of February.
